Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including vans, to transport patients and clients to scheduled appointments.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure cleanliness to maintain safety standards.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure secure transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
• Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports for compliance purposes.

Requirements

• Training provided.
• Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when needed for passenger assistance or cargo handling.
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills to identify issues early and ensure vehicle readiness.
• Customer service orientation with a compassionate attitude toward patients requiring non-emergency medical transportation.
