Driver Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Driver Representative to join our transportation team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our logistics operations and drivers, ensuring smooth coordination of freight movement, accurate data entry, and effective communication across multiple systems. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help optimize delivery schedules, enhance fleet management, and support overall supply chain efficiency. Duties

• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, dispatching freight and managing scheduling through transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS and GIS technology to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Coordinate with shipping & receiving teams to facilitate efficient freight handling and ensure accurate documentation.
• Enter data accurately into various systems including AS400, Transportation Management Systems, and other logistics software.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear messaging.
• Support fleet management activities by monitoring vehicle status, scheduling maintenance, and tracking fleet utilization.
• Assist in analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.

Skills

• Proficiency with GIS, GPS navigation tools, and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management.
• Strong understanding of logistics, transportation planning, and supply chain operations.
• Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to freight movements and fleet performance.
• Experience with dispatching freight, shipping & receiving procedures, and freight documentation.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
• Skilled in data entry with high accuracy using systems like AS400 and SyteLine.
• Knowledge of 3PL (third-party logistics) operations and fleet management practices.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, warehouse operations, and transportation compliance standards.
