Driver Trainer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver Trainer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training to optimise driver performance and safety. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of training methodologies. The Driver Trainer will play a vital part in ensuring our drivers meet regulatory standards and organisational expectations through effective mentoring and instruction.

Duties

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programmes for new and existing drivers.
• Mentor drivers through ongoing coaching, providing constructive feedback to enhance driving skills and safety awareness.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices related to driver training.
• There will be local driving duties carried out as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in teaching or training roles, preferably within the transportation or logistics sector.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently.
• Demonstrated mentoring ability with a focus on fostering professional development among trainees.
• A recognised qualification in SAFED or train the trainer. The successful applicant will be instrumental in promoting safety, efficiency, and organisational excellence across our fleet operations.
• HGV Class 1 CE License
• A Digital Tachograph Card
• CPC Card
• A good understanding of drivers’ hours and the working time directive
