Job Description:

The Training Curriculum Designer will work onsite in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Engineering and Product Management, to execute our curriculum design and creation effectively and efficiently. Our products and services improve the safety of companies and people around the world and must be of the highest quality. The ideal Training Curriculum Designer has a strong background in creating high-quality professional curricula. We seek a leader and quick learner to mentor the curriculum team in implementing best-in-class driver training materials.

Essential Functions:

Work with Engineering and Design, Sales, and Training teams to gather and understand simulation curriculum requirements. Architect and supervise implementation of driver training curriculum, with simulation as the core tool, with pedagogical rigor and customer accessibility.

  • Outlines and the architect's structure of the diver training program
  • Acts as team lead for simulation/scenario creation and implementation team
  • Researches and captures source material for use in building curriculum from scratch or modifying existing models.
  • Creates challenging, goal-oriented curriculum, presentation material, and skill-practice scenarios
  • Tests, troubleshoots, identifies, reports, and corrects problems with material.
  • Assists the engineering department with daily tasks, including preparation of simulators for product demos, assisting with demos, inventory, and any other tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Instead of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in the creation of professional instructional curriculum and presentation material.
  • Experience in modern material presentation media, including PowerPoint and video creation
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Specific experience in commercial driver training
  • Specific experience in law enforcement training
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, and work in a small team
  • Maintain professional working relationships, attitude, and dress attire.
  • Must be willing and able to pass routine drug screening and background investigations.
