Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Drivers and Full-Time Pharmacists to join our dynamic healthcare team. This dual-role opportunity offers a chance to contribute directly to patient care while ensuring efficient medication delivery and pharmacy operations. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safe and timely transportation of medications, supplies, and pharmacy materials. As a Pharmacist, you will provide expert pharmaceutical care, medication management, and patient support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is vital in delivering exceptional patient service, supporting clinical initiatives, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver medications, supplies, and pharmacy equipment to hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance on proper medication use
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before dispensing
- Compound medications following aseptic techniques and pharmacy protocols to ensure safety and efficacy
- Utilize pharmacy software systems (such as EMR/EHR platforms) for prescription processing, patient records, and inventory control
- Conduct patient assessments related to medication therapy management, including immunizations and medication administration support
- Support medical management initiatives by collaborating with healthcare providers on complex cases such as pain management or critical care scenarios
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial vehicle operation preferred
- Licensed pharmacist in good standing with relevant state boards of pharmacy
- Prior experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings highly desirable
- Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience including pediatrics, critical care, or acute care environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology principles
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (EMR/EHR), inventory management tools, and compounding equipment
- Experience with IV insertion, infusion therapy, aseptic technique, and medication administration procedures
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to perform patient assessments effectively
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
