Responsibilities

  • Safely operate shuttle buses, limousines, and other commercial vehicles to transport patients to medical appointments, hospitals, and care facilities.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and passenger details for record-keeping purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure secure transportation at all times.
  • Handle heavy lifting when necessary for wheelchair-bound or mobility-impaired passengers while maintaining proper safety procedures.

Skills

  • Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving or similar roles involving commercial driving.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse passengers.
  • Familiarity with paratransit operations and the ability to assist passengers with special needs or mobility devices.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment.
  • Excellent driving record with experience in limousine or school bus driving preferred.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines to identify potential issues early.
  • Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with team members and responding effectively to passenger needs. Pay: From $18.00 per hour
