Drone Technician

At Dronny Store, we are Dallas's one-stop drone solutions center. We specialize in DJI drone sales, professional drone repairs, and aerial photography services. Whether our customers are weekend hobbyists or enterprise-level professionals, we provide the expertise, equipment, and support they need to stay flying.

What You'll Do

• Help customers find the right drone or accessory for their needs
• Perform diagnostic checks, cleaning, and maintenance on drones brought in for repair
• Assist with component replacements and soldering tasks
• Keep the workspace and inventory organized and well-maintained
• Assist with product demonstrations and explain features in an easy-to-understand way
• Answer customer questions in person, over the phone, and via text/chat
• Help manage incoming and outgoing orders and spare parts inventory

Requirements

• Bilingual — English and Spanish (required) — you will communicate directly with customers in both languages on a daily basis; fluency in both is essential for this role
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-first attitude
• Ability to work as part of a small, close-knit team
• Reliable and punctual — we count on every team member
• A learning mindset — if you don't have hands-on experience yet, a genuine eagerness to learn and grow is what matters most to us

Preferred Experience

• Experience is a plus, but not required. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds — if you're willing to put in the work, we'll train you. Any of the following is a strong advantage:
• Computer repairs or phone repairs
• Soldering (any level)
• General electronics knowledge
• Hands-on work with technical or mechanical equipment

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with DJI products or other drone brands
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or currently studying for it)
• Experience in retail, customer service, or a technical repair environment
• Familiarity with aerial photography or videography
• Basic knowledge of iOS/Android apps related to drone operation

Compensation

• $14 – $20 per hour, depending on experience
• Candidates with little to no technical experience start at the lower end of the range
• Candidates with relevant repair, soldering, or electronics experience are compensated at the higher end
• Pay grows as your skills and responsibilities grow

Schedule & Hours

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required depending on store needs
• Final schedule confirmed at time of offer

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
