Drywall Taper / Painter

VP-Maintenance is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Drywall Taper / Painter to join our construction and tenant improvement team. We are a family-owned and operated company that has been providing top-quality commercial maintenance and construction services throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area for over 15 years. Position Overview

This is a hybrid position requiring experience in both drywall finishing and painting. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in drywall repair, mud, tape, and texture matching using a Bazooka Taping Tool, along with at least three (3) years of professional painting experience. Candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Basic Information

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Minimum 3 years of drywall experience
• Minimum 3 years of painting experience
• Pay: D.O.E. (Depending on Experience)
• 60-day performance review
• $0.72/mile compensation for travel
• Yearly performance bonuses
• Painter’s whites provided

Qualifications

Applicants should have general knowledge and experience in:

• Drywall repair, mud, tape, and texture matching
• Proper masking and surface preparation for painting and finishing
• Use and maintenance of drywall tools (including Bazooka)
• Professional painting techniques and touch-up work
• Operation of scissors lifts, boom lifts, and scaffolding setup
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Team collaboration and communication skills
• Completing digital work orders via a company-issued iPhone, including detailed notes, materials used, and completion photos

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of drywall experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of painting experience

Required Skills & Certifications

• Proficient with an iPhone for work orders, job management and client communication
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs frequently and 90+ lbs occasionally (with or without reasonable accommodations)
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable truck for transportation
• Must maintain a clean background and be drug-free

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
