Drywaller and Painter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter who can also hang and finish drywall. This role involves performing a variety of construction, restoration, and painting tasks on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site work, painting techniques, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship and safety. We remodel residential and commercial properties in the Brown, Clermont, Hamilton, and Adams Counties. It would be 1099 contract work and paid weekly.

Must have at least 5 years of hanging and finishing drywall and at least 5 years of painting experience. Must be able to complete jobs patching, but also able to hang 30 boards.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, and cleaning to ensure proper adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, primers, and sealers using brushes, rollers, or airless spray equipment.
• Assist with construction tasks such as framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, and door hanging.
• Perform plastering, stucco application, caulking, and metal stud framing to ensure finished surfaces meet project requirements.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute project plans and specifications.
• Install fixtures and perform tile laying or flooring installation as needed.
• Conduct water damage restoration activities including mold remediation and water extraction.
• Assist with masonry work and plumbing tasks related to renovation projects.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively across various construction sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of framing, drywall, plastering, masonry, plumbing, or restoration industry practices.
• Skilled in painting techniques such as paint spraying and surface preparation.
• Experience with fixture installation, trim carpentry, door hanging, metal stud framing, tile laying, flooring installation, or water damage restoration is desirable.
• Strong maintenance person skills with the ability to perform multiple trades within the construction industry.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments while adhering to safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license preferred for site travel.
