DSP (Direct Support Professional)

We are seeking a full-time support professional (Monday–Friday 8:30-4:30), with some PRN evenings and weekends) to work with a young woman with Down Syndrome who lives a vibrant and active life in Marvin, NC near Indian Trail, Ballantyne and Weddington area.. She enjoys a packed social calendar, but also values time at home to relax—watching movies, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her Bible. Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs. This position involves providing compassionate care and support in the home and community. The DSP will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred; experience with disabilities and special needs is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic first aid techniques and ability to perform CPR will be required after onboarding.
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
• A valid driver's license, automobile and current insurance policy required.
