*Job Overview*

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being.

*Responsibilities*

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home or community setting

- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation

- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient behavior, and report any changes to the healthcare team

- Support clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals

- Create a safe and nurturing environment for clients

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care

*Requirements*

- Experience in patient care, particularly working with individuals with developmental disabilities

- Knowledge of basic medical procedures including taking vital signs

- Ability to assist with cooking and meal planning

- Strong observation skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations

- Background in home care is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
