DSP Shift Supervisor (Fresh Meadows) FT Opportunity

ANIBIC is looking for experienced DSP's to provide support to adults with intellectual disabilities in our residential program in a Shift Supervisor role. We have (1) Full-Time position available!

This role can be a pathway to learning skills that would prepare one for higher level leadership positions!

FULL-TIME Shift Supervisor

• Hours/ Days: Sun 9a-5p, Mon-Thurs (7am-3pm) (40 hours per week)
• Location: Fresh Meadows, Queens

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SHIFT SUPERVISOR INCLUDE:

• Perform DSP functions that enable the people we serve to have an awesome quality life that honors their stregnths and choices. (Implement programming, collect data, etc.)
• Support management by fulfilling quality improvement functions (ie. monitoring and collecting data, inventory/supplies, etc.)
• Communicate information effectively about the day to day operations to management.
• Prepare for and attend medical appointments and recreational activities.
• Administer medication and treatments.
• Provide ongoing feedback, advocating on behalf of the people we serve and person-centered programming as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a Driver's License in order to be able to transport resident's as needed.
• DSP Experience in an OPWDD Certified program (2-3 years or more preferred).
• A proven ability to work independently and take initiative to prevent and solve non-routine issues as they arise!
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate with medical professionals, family members and colleagues effectively and proactively.
• AMAP Certification and / or history of being AMAP required.CPR Certification / Ability to Pass CPR is a requirement.
