Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of massage therapies including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address individual guest needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to each guest’s condition and preferences.
• Apply advanced techniques for pain management, utilizing knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Ensure exceptional patient service by listening attentively, maintaining professionalism, and fostering a calming environment throughout each session.
• Educate guests on post-treatment care and recommend suitable therapies or products for ongoing wellness.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments provided, patient progress, and any relevant health information in compliance with occupational health standards.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism in accordance with spa policies and healthcare regulations.
• Conduct inventory of products.
• Clean, set up treatment room daily.
• Assist on non productive time with tasks, projects and support with the spa team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in med spa settings or luxury hotel spas with expertise in deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management.
• Exceptional patient service skills with the ability to assess individual needs effectively.
• Familiarity with occupational health protocols and maintaining hygiene standards within a medical or spa environment.
• Previous experience in customer service roles demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to ensure safe and effective treatments.
• NYS Certification as a licensed massage therapist and esthetician; additional certifications in occupational health or med spa practices are preferred. Pay: $17.00 - $148.24 per hour
