Duct Fabricator (HVAC)

The Duct Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing HVAC ductwork according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. The role requires hands-on experience with sheet metal, PI ducts, GI ducts, and related fabrication machinery while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate PI, and pre-insulated ducts as per shop drawings and project specifications
• Operate fabrication machines such as lock-former, plasma cutter, shearing, bending, and grooving machines
• Measure, cut, assemble, and seal duct sections accurately
• Install flanges, gaskets, corners, cleats, and accessories
• Ensure ductwork complies with SMACNA / DW144 standards (or project specifications)
• Perform quality checks on fabricated ducts before dispatch
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the fabrication workshop
• Report material shortages, defects, or machine issues to the supervisor
• Coordinate with supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a duct fabricator in HVAC projects
• Experience with PI ducts, and fittings . Knowledge of GI Ducts as well
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and measurements
• Familiarity with fabrication tools and workshop machinery
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE usage
• Physically fit and able to work in a factory environment
• Experience in UAE or GCC projects preferred
