Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other bulk freight to various job sites and disposal locations. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently across diverse routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload materials accurately using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper securing of freight such as freight, roll-off containers, or other bulk loads.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement devices to guarantee vehicle safety.
• Maintain detailed records of deliveries, routes traveled, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs for each shift.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any route or load issues proactively.
• Assist with loading or unloading freight using forklifts or other machinery when necessary, following all safety protocols.
• Follow all company policies related to manual transmission operation, refrigerated trailer handling, flatbed transport, tanker loads, and other specialized freight requirements.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks.
• Skilled in manual transmission operation and familiar with various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-offs.
• Experience in delivery driving with a focus on route efficiency and load & unload procedures.
• Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment safely when required for loading or unloading freight.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $185.22 - $235.23 per day
