Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Operate dump trucks with manual transmission efficiently across designated routes, ensuring safe handling of heavy loads.
  • Load and unload materials accurately using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and safety features.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company policies to maintain safe driving practices at all times.
  • Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, routes taken, load weights, and any incidents or delays encountered during shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any operational issues promptly.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment on-site when necessary, including refrigerated trailers or flatbed configurations.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Hazmat Endorsement/Certification preferred.
  • Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial setting.
  • Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks; experience with tractor-trailers is a plus.
  • Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using specialized equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
  • Knowledge of route driving, safety regulations, and transportation best practices.
  • Familiarity with different truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and freight hauling vehicles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
