Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials such as gravel, sand, debris, or other freight to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving and route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks and related vehicles such as roll-off trucks, flatbeds, tanker trucks, and refrigerated trailers with precision and care.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure handling of materials.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to deliver materials promptly across multiple locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and other critical systems.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records in compliance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding delivery status or any operational issues.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies to promote a safe working environment.

Skills

• Proven experience driving commercial trucks, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight.
• Familiarity with route driving, load securing techniques, and freight handling procedures.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Capable of handling various types of freight including hazardous materials transported via tanker or flatbed configurations.
