Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will ensure efficient delivery and compliance with safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, landscaping, or waste management projects while maintaining a focus on safety and precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate mania and auto dump trucks with skill and safety awareness
• Load and unload freight, materials, or debris efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary
• Follow designated routes driving through construction sites, industrial areas, or designated delivery zones while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires to ensure optimal operation
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs for each shift
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules or any operational issues
• Assist with securing loads properly to prevent shifting during transit and ensure compliance with transportation regulations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in truck driving, especially with dump trucks.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for operating heavy-duty vehicles including manual transmission experience if applicable
• Knowledge of route driving in urban or rural settings with an emphasis on safety and efficiency
• Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or other handling equipment when required
• Familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off containers is a plus
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle operation
• Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle heavy loads safely
