Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials to various job sites, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and experience with different truck types, including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and flatbeds. The Dump Truck Driver will play a vital role in supporting construction, waste management, or material delivery operations.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks and other commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
• Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Transport materials to designated locations according to route schedules, maintaining punctuality.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or spillage during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or tanker trucks.
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with freight or construction materials.
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks is preferred.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading/unloading cargo.
• Experience driving refrigerated trailers or flatbed trucks is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight transport and vehicle operation.
• Strong route driving skills with the ability to plan efficient delivery routes.
• Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations. This position offers an opportunity for dedicated drivers to contribute their skills in a dynamic environment while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
