Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles, including roll-off trucks and tractor-trailers, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hydraulic systems
• Drive assigned routes with precision, adhering to schedules and optimizing delivery times
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Assist with the loading or securing of freight on trucks when necessary, including flatbed or refrigerated trailer loads

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles
• Proficiency in manual transmission driving and familiarity with freight handling equipment such as forklifts
• Knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety protocols for heavy vehicle operation
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safe driving practices
• Prior experience with delivery driver roles involving freight transport across various terrains
