Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver materials such as gravel, sand, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks with precision, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
- Drive route-specific trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or freight carriers as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with maintenance schedules.
- Manage delivery schedules by planning optimal routes for timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, materials transported, and vehicle inspections in accordance with company policies.
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial driving environment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the truck type (e.g., manual transmission, tanker).
- Familiarity with different truck configurations including flatbed, refrigerated trailer, tanker, and roll-off trucks.
- Experience in load & unload operations, route driving, and managing freight deliveries.
- Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading materials.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, material handling, and road regulations.
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn specific operational protocols is essential.
