Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or waste.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or hydraulic systems.
• Follow designated routes driving across construction sites or industrial locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes taken, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials at various sites, ensuring proper handling of freight like refrigerated trailers or flatbeds when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve logistical challenges swiftly.

Requirements

• Proven experience driving dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or tanker trucks.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for operating heavy vehicles and transporting freight.
• Skilled in manual transmission operation and familiar with vehicle safety systems.
• Experience with route driving in diverse environments including construction zones or industrial facilities.
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and material handling practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $29.30 per hour
