Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and vehicle operation will ensure timely deliveries and efficient load handling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, landscaping, or waste management projects while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks with manual transmission or automatic features to transport materials efficiently and safely across designated routes.
• Load and unload materials at construction sites, warehouses, or disposal facilities using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
• Drive a variety of truck types including flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailer, and tractor-trailer units depending on project requirements.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to identify mechanical issues and ensure vehicle safety standards are met.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies while adhering to route schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Assist with securing freight loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on truck driving, preferably involving dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
• Familiarity with manual transmission operation and driving various truck configurations including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures at multiple locations.
• Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations, including handling freight securely and managing route driving challenges effectively.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for dump trucks and specialized trailers.
