Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

  • Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles including roll-off trucks and flatbed trailers to transport materials efficiently across designated routes
  • Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods while adhering to safety protocols
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all systems are functioning properly and reporting any maintenance needs promptly
  • Follow detailed route plans, traffic laws, and safety regulations to ensure on-time deliveries without incident
  • Assist with securing loads on trucks, including tarping or strapping as necessary for safe transport
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission operation and specific vehicle types such as refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks if applicable
  • Demonstrated ability to drive safely over long distances and navigate complex routes confidently
  • Familiarity with load & unload procedures, freight handling, and route driving best practices
  • Experience operating auxiliary equipment such as forklifts or other material handling tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations and material transportation
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads and performing vehicle inspections regularly

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $198.57 - $251.60 per day
