Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and vehicle maintenance will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, landscaping, or waste management projects with a focus on efficiency and safety.

Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailer and roll-off trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Follow designated routes for delivery and pickup, adjusting plans as needed for traffic or site conditions
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, cargo details, and delivery records
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding schedule updates or issues
• Assist with securing loads on flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or other specialized equipment as required

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or similar heavy-duty vehicles
• Proficiency in manual transmission driving and handling various truck types such as flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload operations and route driving strategies
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates
