Dump Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in manual and automatic transmission driving and possess a solid background in commercial driving.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and dirt to designated locations.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Navigate assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, including time, materials transported, and mileage.
• Collaborate with site managers to coordinate delivery schedules and material needs.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks on the truck as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness of the truck both inside and out.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or other heavy vehicles is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Previous delivery driver experience is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of route driving principles and local traffic regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
