Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk freight to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

• Operate dump trucks with automatic transmission efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and company policies
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring secure and balanced loads
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory standards
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical issues promptly
• Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transportation activities to prevent accidents or damage

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery or route driving
• Demonstrated ability to operate dump trucks with manual transmission confidently and safely
• Experience handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or roll-off trucks is preferred
• Familiarity with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment is advantageous
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for the type of truck operated (e.g., Class A or B)
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations and cargo securement standards
• Prior experience in delivery driver roles involving freight handling across diverse terrains is highly desirable

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
