Dump Truck Driver

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are NOT limited to:

• Safely drive dump truck to destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area. Hauling away material from a job site.
• Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle and trailer in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or non-working parts.
• Maintains a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Communicates regularly with operations manager to ensure that delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
• Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified by company policy.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Job Qualifications

Requirements include but are NOT limited to:

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License and good driving history is required.
• Must have manual transmission and air brake endorsement
• Ability to work Monday - Friday
• Must be physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.
• Must pass, or have recently passed DOT physical
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change
• Good communication skills

• Commercial Driving: 2 years required

License/Certification:

• CDL Class A or B required
• Manual transmission and air brake endorsement
