Dump Truck Driver

$21-$28 per hour depending on experience, plus a $7 load bonus!!

Quikrete Construction Materials is looking for a qualified and experienced Dump Truck Driver, to support the operations of our aggregate sand plants in their surrounding areas. This position supports the overall business by delivering products and materials to and from the plant to various construction sites or projects. The ideal candidates will be reliable, and safety oriented with the ability to operate a manual/straight-drive truck and other CDL required pieces of equipment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Ability to follow directions, accurately receive, comprehend, and follow instructions from dispatch, including efficient handling of delivery tickets.
• Drive truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspects destination job sites to verify the truck can be safely maneuvered.
• Maintains radio contact with dispatch.
• Cleans out and rinses bed of the dump truck and dump trailer between loads.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports vehicle condition.
• Performs daily vehicle maintenance including checking fluid levels and adding fluids as necessary, lubricating as needed, fueling the truck as necessary, and at the end of each day, replacing mud flaps, etc. May assist mechanics with vehicle repair.
• Maintain a clean truck by washing vehicle and keeping inside clean.
• Maintain a clean work environment of truck and plant parking location.

Ability, Skills & Knowledge

• Must possess CDL-A
• 1 Year Dump Experience Preferred
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a current DOT Medical Qualification.
• Must meet Driver Qualification Standards for the operating company.
• Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight.
