Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to join our dynamic landscape construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy machinery and haul materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient project progress and safety compliance. You will also deliver compost to soil clients. Your expertise in equipment operation and construction site experience will contribute to the successful completion of various infrastructure projects. Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dozers, and other heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery to move materials and prepare sites.
• Transport construction materials, debris, and equipment between locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
• Assist with site preparation activities including grading, paving, demolition, planting, and site cleanup.
• Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress, equipment needs, and safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs of material deliveries, and daily activities for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dump trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, horizontal drills, rototillers, and paving machinery.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Landscape experience with familiarity in various construction processes including paving and demolition.
• Knowledge of compost delivery operations, including coordinating with clients on delivery logistics and proper soil placement. Responsible for handling cash payments and maintaining accurate financial records for all transactions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
