Dump Truck Operations Supervisor

Sellenriek Construction is hiring a hands-on Dump Truck Operations Supervisor to lead daily trucking operations out of our Jonesburg, MO location.

This role is responsible for managing drivers, scheduling and dispatching trucks, supporting hiring and training, and keeping daily operations safe, efficient, and productive.

This is a working supervisor role. Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL and be willing to operate dump trucks as needed to support coverage, workload demands, and daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dump truck operations, driver activity, and truck availability
  • Schedule, dispatch, and route trucks based on workload and project needs
  • Operate dump trucks as needed to support coverage and daily operations
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and support drivers
  • Hold drivers accountable for safety, attendance, communication, paperwork, and performance
  • Monitor production, efficiency, service quality, and daily operational issues
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
  • Review logs, inspections, DVIRs, tickets, and required documentation
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and downtime with mechanics, vendors, and leadership
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, crews, and project teams
  • Support business growth, staffing needs, forecasting, and operational improvements

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Must be willing and able to drive dump trucks as needed
  • Dump truck, hauling, trucking, or construction operations experience required
  • Leadership, supervisory, dispatch, or fleet coordination experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and trucking operations
  • Experience with scheduling, dispatching, routing, drivers, and truck coordination
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, safety-minded, organized, and customer-focused
  • Able to pass required pre-employment screening

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Typical schedule may include up to 10-hour workdays
  • Mix of driving, office, yard, field, and outdoor work
  • Work around trucks, heavy equipment, traffic, crews, and active jobsites
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb in and out of trucks and equipment frequently
  • Ability to walk jobsites and work outdoors regularly
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
