Duo Security Engineer

SAP Security Consultant 100% Remote 12 month Contract (Contract to hire option)

Project Description: We are seeking an experienced SAP Security Consultant to design suitable SAP solutions that support the Security & Controls workstream as part of the SAP S/4HANA & SAP BTP Security implementation. Must have a strong understanding of key security features, including identity and access management, data security, audit logging, network and communication security, and data protection and privacy. It's important to use to protect data and comply with regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in SAP modules (FICO, MM, SD ) relevant to their role and a strong background in enterprise transformation projects. This person should have a strong command of areas (SAP Security & Basis).This role works closely with business and IT teams to translate requirements into robust SAP solutions and ensure stable day to day operations of key modules (such as Finance, Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, or Production)

Requirements: Must have 3-5 years' experience providing subject matter expertise in SAP Security-related processes and SAP S/4HANA best practices inclusive of :

Analyze current business processes and gather requirements from stakeholders to design suitable SAP solutions && define what a user or role can do with that particular data or function, allowing for granular management of security permissions within the database. Configure and customize SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD) to meet functional and technical requirements such as individual tables, views, stored procedures, or even specific columns within a table, enabling fine-tuned access control based on business needs.

Role-based access: Users are typically assigned roles which contain sets of permissions to various security resources, allowing administrators to manage access rights efficiently.

Data protection: By defining security resources, sensitive data can be protected from unauthorized access, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations.

Auditing capabilities: SAP HANA tracks user activity on security resources, allowing administrators to monitor and audit access patterns for potential security breach

Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP projects, including design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Troubleshoot and resolve SAP issues, working as the primary point of contact for end users in your functional area

Accountable for routine operational work in a given area (for example, purchasing, AP, inventory, or a specific SAP process)
