Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Delivery Technician

Pay Type:

• Starting at $21-$23 +/hr, negotiable for experience in the Durable Medical Equipment field.

Position Type:

• This position is Wednesday-Sunday 8:30am-5pm
• Full-Time, 8+ hour days
• On-call rotation with this shift
• An additional $255 in compensation is provided for each on-call week

Requirements:

• Must have a High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior health care experience preferred
• Must be willing to drive 8+ hours per day
• Prior experience in the delivery, set-up, repair, and installation of durable medical equipment preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift 100 pounds.
• Valid driver's license
• Must be detailed-oriented
• Must be neat and clean in personal appearance

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the delivery and set-up of durable medical equipment, respiratory, & supplies to long-term care, hospice, and home-care accounts with arranged schedules to the patient or facility in a timely and professional manner
• Instructs and demonstrates proper and safe use of product/equipment to caregivers, patients, and nurses
• Acquires and maintains a high level of product knowledge on all equipment and supplies
• Responsible for maintaining the physical and mechanical condition of the assigned company vehicle by performing a daily vehicle inspection and making sure the vehicle is properly stocked
• Loads and unloads the product in an orderly and secure manner in accordance with set policies and procedures
• Completes the appropriate paperwork upon delivery, pick up, or service of product and follows and adheres to HIPAA guidelines
• Other duties as assigned by management
