Duty Engineer

A prestigious luxury hotel in the UAE is seeking an experienced and technically strong Duty Engineer to join its Engineering & Maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily engineering operations and ensure all hotel systems operate efficiently.
• Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors.
• Conduct regular inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and guest-related technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and hotel SOPs.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Support energy management and cost-control initiatives.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and reports.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a luxury hotel or high-end property.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, MEP systems, BMS, and fire safety systems.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and safety standards preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
