Dynamic Tutor: READING, WRITING

Job Description

I am the Owner/Director of a small tutoring center in Dunedin. We serve all students in K-12 in many subjects.

I am looking for: Reading/Writing passionate educators and Higher Level Math and Science gurus as well as ACT/SAT instructors.

• READING/WRITING--Professional Educator or highly skilled and passionate about subject area! We have several clients that are K-12th grade and adult learners!
• MATH--(Professional Educator or a highly skilled Math individual) that is capable and experienced with Algebra II, Geometry & Trigonometry. Statistics and Calculus are a plus! Experience with online learning environments (FLVS). FL Certified 5-9 or 6-12 is highly encouraged....but not required and will be reviewed on an individual basis.
• SCIENCE--Professional Educator or a highly skilled Science individual) that is capable and experienced with one or more of the following: Biology, Chemistry (Organic/Inorganic), Physics.
• ACT/SAT instructors
• Experience with online learning environments (FLVS). FL Certified 5-9 or 6-12 is highly encouraged....but not required and will be reviewed on an individual basis.
• Desired availability: 3:00 pm, as scheduled and based on YOUR availability. 1 day-6 days a week.....
• Must be able to travel to tutoring center to meet students in a face-to-face setting....at times, depending on students' needs, remote tutoring is an option.

Students will be scheduled around your availability...tutor must be personable, ability to assess students during session; able to communicate well with student and parent and be flexible. Must be able to explain the skills and concepts so that students understand, must be able to "check for understanding" while teaching student.

All that is required is the completion of a tutor session report after every completed session. The center is fully equipped with video and audio surveillance.

Tutors file a 1099, there are no health benefits with this position and you will be paid every other week.
