About 425 Consulting Group
425 Consulting Group is a Microsoft Cloud Partner specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), the Power Platform, and business process consulting. We help clients transform their operations with thoughtful, well-implemented systems — always focusing on solving problems over simply selling products. Our team values balance, initiative, collaboration, and long-term client relationships built on trust.
We are seeking a Dynamics 365 Business Central Senior Functional Consultant to join our team. This role will be instrumental in delivering new BC implementations, supporting existing customers, and enhancing existing client solutions.
Role Focus & Scope
The Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant will:
- Lead and participate in new Business Central implementations as well as support and enhancement projects for existing clients.
- Work across diverse industries and organizations.
- Engage in both client-facing activities (requirements gathering, workshops, solution presentations) and internal configuration/testing work.
- Leverage experience integrating BC with Microsoft Power Platform, third-party ISV solutions, and custom applications.
Skills & Expertise
- Strong functional knowledge and hands-on configuration experience in core BC modules: Finance, Cash Management, Sales, and Purchasing.
- Working knowledge of the Inventory, Warehousing, or Manufacturing BC modules.
- Proven ability to lead a BC implementation from initial requirements gathering to go-live.
- Proficiency with BC administration, including extension management, managing environments, and utilizing data migration tools.
- Experience with AL development creating custom reports and minor system modifications.
- Helpful to have integration experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and its integration with BC.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Strong end-user training skills and ability to lead client training sessions.
- Willingness to adopt emerging Microsoft tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure DevOps expected.
Experience & Background
- 5–7+ years' experience implementing Business Central from start to finish, with strong client-facing skills, maturity, and professionalism.
- Experience may come from a consulting firm or an end-user/ERP administrator background but must involve direct BC implementation work.
- Success in delivering small and mid-sized business implementations; experience with enterprise-scale projects is a plus.
Soft Skills & Culture Fit
- Aligns with our value of balance by maintaining a planned, proactive approach while responding effectively to urgent client needs.
- Self-directed and able to manage priorities independently, while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Skilled at translating technical details into business terms for non-technical stakeholders.

- Works seamlessly with cross-functional teams (consultants, developers, and BI analysts).
- Committed to knowledge sharing and mentoring team members.
- Thrives in ambiguous situations while seeking to create clarity and efficiency.
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving priorities and client needs.
Logistics
- Location: Remote (U.S. only). Proximity to Central Pennsylvania or Seattle is a plus for occasional in-person events.
- Travel: Minimal; occasional client visits only when necessary for project success or relationship building.
- Work Hours: Flexible, generally 9–5 in the employee’s local time zone, with occasional early/late meetings for client schedules.
- Go-Live Support: Occasional evening/weekend work during go-live periods, as needed.
