Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Manager, Dynamics 365 Development, the Dynamics 365 Configuration Analyst discovers, synthesizes, and analyzes information to elicit business needs and requirements to devise strategies and solutions using MS Dynamics 365 to implement changes with the goal of improving business outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies opportunities to increase efficiencies in business applications by studying business functions, gathering information and evaluating requirements and configuring them in Dynamics 365;

  • Works with business partners to ensure that all requirements are understood, documented, and met in Dynamics 365;

  • Works closely with the IT development and Dynamics teams to implement resilient solutions on more complex projects;

  • Works with Dynamics developers and consultants where needed to implement custom code solutions;

  • Creates test plans, develops test cases, conducts and coordinates business acceptance and regression testing before new functionality is deployed to Production;

  • Assists with formal validation of enhancements or fixes;

  • Works closely with Business Analyst Ill - Dynamics and the Director of Infrastructure & Development to prioritize backlog of enhancement requests according to changing business needs;

  • Stays informed of Dynamics 365 product enhancements and roadmap to inform business decisions on relevant features and processes;

  • Works in coordination with IT development and Dynamics teams to deploy solutions between development environments, sandbox and production;

  • Stays informed of future add-ons and updates from software vendors, and researches available third-party tools as appropriate to meet business requirements;

  • Works with the end user support team, system administrators, and database administrator to investigate and resolve problems;

  • Ensures work is performed in compliance with Funds' policies including

  • Privacy/HIPAA and other Regulatory, legal, and safety requirements

  • Coordinates with the vendors and other partners to successfully deliver projects, where applicable;

  • Perform tasks after hours, on weekends, and as required by management/supervisory staff; and

  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications (Competencies):

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 2–5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM/ERP platforms.
    • Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, including:
    • Dynamics 365 out-of-the-box configuration capabilities and modules
    • Familiarity with the stack supporting 365 customizations (C#, Javascript, SQL)
    • Familiarity with Dynamics data integration processes
    • Familiarity with Dynamics Power Apps solutions
    • Familiarity with Power Automate and Dynamics workflow
    • Familiarity with current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
    • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
    • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEMguides.
    • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 configuration capabilities (entities/tables, forms, workflows, security roles, and dashboards).
    • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
    • Knowledge of system testing methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Experience with data analysis
    • Excellent MS office skills including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project

  • Ability to plan and take initiatives to accomplish objectives in timely fashion;

  • Understands the Funds' business environment;

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with project team members, supervisors, and employees from other departments.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g., Functional Consultant), preferred.
