Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dyslexia Interventionist to join our educational team. We have openings for the 2026-2027 school year for a dyslexia provider.
The ideal candidate is trained in Reading By Design and will possess a background in literacy education, special education, and learning technology, with a passion for supporting students with reading difficulties. This role involves carrying out tailored curriculum, implementing effective intervention strategies, and fostering an engaging learning environment for children of various age groups. The Dyslexia Interventionist will play a vital role in helping students improve their reading skills and build confidence in their academic abilities.
Duties
- Implement individualized intervention plans focused on dyslexia and literacy development
- Develop curriculum materials aligned with best practices in special education and literacy education
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate phonics, decoding strategies, and multisensory techniques
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to support student success
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and complete progress notes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Literacy, or related field
- Completed training in Reading By Design or willing to complete this summer
- Experience working with children in classroom settings or tutoring environments
- Dyslexia intervention training/experience preferred but not required
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and implement conflict management strategies
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
