E-commerce Associate Part time

Duties

• Assist customers with online orders, product inquiries, and troubleshooting via phone, chat, or email with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
• Conduct product demos and showcase features through live video or virtual presentations to enhance customer understanding and interest.
• Manage online product listings by updating descriptions, images, pricing, and stock levels to ensure accuracy and appeal.

Support merchandising, operations, and marketing by:

• Turning ideas into live products on all channels.
• Keeping data, sizes, and prices structured.
• Helping with basic HTML edits and marketing tasks (email, site content, promos).
• Supporting the shop so finished products are right the first time.

Core Responsibilities

Product, Catalog & Data

• Create and update products on Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Etsy, Target Plus using checklists and spreadsheets.
• Maintain clean SKU lists for frame sizes, colors, mouldings, mats, glass types, jersey/diploma products, and large-format prints.
• Help manage size matrices and shipping tiers (5x5 up to 48x48, perimeter/weight rules).
• Assist with pricing sheets (frame cost, acrylic, backing, shipping formulas) in Google Sheets / Excel.

Production & Quality Flow

• Translate online product options into clear specs for the frame and print shop (size, moulding, mat, glazing, hardware).
• Track repeat issues and help adjust product data or SOPs to reduce remakes and returns.
• Maintain simple checklists and SOPs for product setup, order flow, and production handoff.

HTML & Website Content

• Use basic HTML to:
• Edit product and collection descriptions (headings, bullets, links, line breaks).
• Format blog posts, landing pages, and FAQs for clarity and readability.
• Embed links, images, and simple tables where needed.
• Work with SEO guidance to implement on-page structure (H1/H2/H3, internal links, alt tags) without breaking layout.

Marketing & Merchandising Support

• Assist with site merchandising: featured collections, badges (“New,” “Bestseller,” “Senior Night Gifts”), and homepage sections.
• Support email marketing by:
• Helping assemble product lists and links for campaigns (senior night, holidays, new frame lines, B2B offers).
• Providing clean copy blocks and product info for email templates.
• Help with basic social and promo support: gathering product links, images, and short descriptions for posts or ads.
• Coordinate product lists, PDFs, and lookbooks for interior designers, senior living, schools, and hospitality projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years in e-commerce, merchandising, operations, or catalog/data management.
• Strong Google Sheets / Excel: sorting, filters, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, CONCAT, basic formulas.
• Basic HTML knowledge: comfortable editing text, headings, links, lists, and simple formatting on product and content pages.
• Comfort working between computer work and shop floor reality (seeing how frames/prints are actually made and shipped).
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast, flexible environment.
• Experience with Shopify and at least one marketplace (Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, Etsy, Target Plus).
• Background with custom or made-to-order products (framing, print-on-demand, home décor).
• Exposure to email marketing platforms, basic SEO, or content updates for websites.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $28.45 per hour
