As an E-Com Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing of products for our online store, ensuring we have the right inventory at the right time to meet customer demand. You will be responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of a group of products to maximize consumer appeal. In this role you will be responsible to implement, initiate, and develop purchasing strategies and function performance in accordance with agreed business plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in Buys & Pre-orders: Assist in seasonal buy planning and pre-order processes in coordination with brand partners.
- Order Planning & Coordination: Plan and execute local orders and pre-orders while arranging brand-provided content (images, product descriptions, assets) for the e-commerce team.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor slow-moving products, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions (discounts, re-merchandising, promotions).
- Replenishment Management: Track fast-moving products and manage monthly replenishments to ensure consistent stock availability.
- E-commerce Merchandising: Plan homepage/merchandising banners for launches, campaigns, and new arrivals; coordinate with designers for graphics and content updates.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with logistics and sales teams to ensure timely stock arrivals, order placements, and smooth inventory flow.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor assortments, pricing, and campaigns; provide insights to improve product mix and pricing strategy.
- Product Content Quality Check: Work with the e-commerce/content team to ensure product descriptions, sizing, and images are accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities across teams.
- Plus: Familiarity with Trasix T1 Studio for product and assortment planning.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in buying, merchandising, or planning within fashion/sports retail or e-commerce.
