E-Commerce Manager

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The E-Commerce Manager is a key staff member responsible for developing and executing all direct, website, and E-Commerce strategies that are a key element in driving revenue to support Kimber’s business objectives and grow the company’s brand recognition and market share. This role calls for a highly energetic self-starter who is highly knowledgeable and capable in a digitally driven environment. The E-Commerce Manager must take the initiative in activating a robust and enticing website and E-Commerce channel that provides a superior user feeling and delivers a seamless shopping experience that drives engagement, sharing and revenue. The E-Commerce manager must also create and maintain a comprehensive watch over online product sales, inventory management and sell through. This individual will work in concert with cross-functional teams such as product development and customer service to activate awareness through regular website visual updates, promotional activation and customer support. Finally this individual will provide support in achieving key performance indicators defined by Kimber leadership and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with marketing, I.T., sales, and other key leaders to develop and execute integrated E-Commerce promotions marketing and communication strategies for new and existing products to maximize long term sales and profit.
  • Manages corporate website and coordinates updates with new products and other initiatives.
  • Monitors, updates and reports on E-Commerce, and advertising performance and analytics while reporting on performance trends and opportunities for all digital and tangible media placement.
  • Coordinates and works with outside vendors in the development of a new ancillary merchandise sales initiatives that will be sold on the company website while coordinating input from all internal business teams.
  • Manages website shopping cart and develops and executes consumer and dealer email marketing campaigns through cooperative software such as MIVA, KLAVIYO, and BRIGHTEDGE.
  • Trouble shoots various problems and develop corrective action to prevent reoccurrence such as 404 error and 301 error corrective action.
  • Cooperates with Guns.com and Gunbroker.com in the updates and metrics of regular monthly sales metrics.
  • Establish updated and real time dashboard reporting system that conveys progress within the website and adjacent shopping cart.
  • Writes comprehensive SEO and provides deep understanding of Keyword elements necessary in elevating overall website performance.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Director

QUALIFICATIONS

This individual must be confidently and consistently be able to navigate Google Analytics, Looker Studio dashboard updates, Google Tag Manager and have the ability to understand why a product page may not be working and either evaluate the break themselves, or be able to cooperate with a third party vendor in implementing quick, corrective action.

  • Experience in HTML and PHP and MODX
  • Experience creating individual promotional pages that interface with the consumer and Visual based ERP.
  • Demonstrable ability to build consensus among a broad constituency of team members.
  • Proven track record of successfully achieving and exceeding organizational goals and objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strong desire for initiative and constant improvement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written with an emphasis on proofreading, fact checking and price clarification
  • Knowledge of firearms; quality, features, safety, category etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (word and excel)
  • Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast work environment that has the potential to change due to regulatory and business needs
  • Need to be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience working independently with little supervision and process work tasks into project management software.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development or Marketing Communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in consumer goods marketing experience

Preferred:

  • Shooting sports and outdoor industry experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality performance reports and create solutions. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

This position requires various reasoning abilities in order to be successful such as:

  • Ability to perform complex and varied tasks
  • Ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks for an extended period of time

COMPUTER SKILLS

The Marketing Manager will be required to have a base knowledge of operating Microsoft Office suite including MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Outlook using MS Office Windows platform. They must also have CRM experience in either HubSpot, or Klaivyo. Plus E-commerce familiarity with Adobe Commerce, and or Big Commerce.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require travel occasionally up to 20% travel to consumer events, tradeshows and store openings.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
