Job Purpose:
The E-commerce Manager is responsible for overseeing the online sales and presence of the company. They are in charge of the look and functionality of the website, digital marketing strategy, and online customer acquisition and retention. The role combines commercial insight, analytical thinking, and digital marketing expertise to grow revenue through online channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall e-commerce strategy to meet revenue and growth targets.
- Manage daily operations of the e-commerce site, including product listings, pricing, and promotions.
- Optimize the user experience (UX) and customer journey to increase conversion rates and average order value.
- Coordinate with marketing, design, and product teams to execute digital campaigns, product launches, and seasonal promotions.
- Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and traffic data to inform decision-making.
- Oversee SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media advertising, and affiliate programs.
- Manage relationships with e-commerce platforms, third-party vendors, and digital agencies.
- Ensure accurate inventory levels, order fulfillment, and return processes by working closely with logistics and warehouse teams.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Report on KPIs and provide regular performance updates to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in an e-commerce or digital marketing role.
- Proven track record of managing and growing online sales.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads, SEO tools, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Knowledge of UX principles and A/B testing methods.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, CMS platforms, and email marketing tools.
