We are seeking a E-Commerce Merchandiser & Planner who is responsible for building and managing the full product lifecycle for Spirit Jersey’s e-commerce business. This role owns product strategy, merchandising, calendar management, line planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for DTC and select wholesale partners. The position is deeply collaborative, working across design, marketing, operations, and licensed partners to ensure cultural relevance, strong storytelling, and profitable growth.
This role also supports the development of a wholesale line, ensuring seasonality, trend alignment, and retail readiness while maintaining Spirit Jersey’s signature brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce Merchandising
- Build the seasonal line plan for e-commerce, including new drops, exclusives, limited editions, and evergreen assortments.
- Partner with design to brief trends, colors, silhouettes, and cultural moments that drive relevance.
- Ensure each collection is commercially sound, cost-appropriate, and aligned with margin goals.
- Identify assortment gaps, hero items, and opportunities by analyzing customer behavior and sales data.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date merchandising calendar that aligns with design, production, and marketing timelines.
Planning & Forecasting
- Create demand plans, style-level forecasts, and buy plans that support revenue goals.
- Analyze weekly and monthly performance, adjusting buys and replenishment to meet KPIs.
- Build pre-season and in-season plans that support e-commerce targets for AOV, conversion, profitability, and inventory turns.
- Manage product lifecycle: launch, chase, replenishment, markdowns, and exit strategies.
Wholesale Line Development
- Build and support a wholesale assortment strategy that aligns with customer expectations and retailer needs.
- Work with licensed partners, better department stores, resorts, and specialty accounts to tailor assortments by region and retailer type.
- Ensure line plans include strong storytelling and commercial viability for each wholesale partner.
- Create line sheets, wholesale calendars, and go-to-market tools in partnership with sales and design.
Licensed Partner & Cultural Relevance Ownership
- Lead line planning with Disney and other licensed partners, ensuring all styles meet brand guidelines and storytelling needs.
- Maintain awareness of key cultural moments, fandoms, anniversaries, and entertainment events.
- Build product concepts tied to cultural moments that improve fan engagement and sell-through.
- Manage the concept-to-approval workflow with licensed partners, ensuring timely submissions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with design on development timelines, seasonal concepts, and color stories.
- Work with marketing on launch campaigns, photography needs, and merchandising direction for site and social.
- Align with operations on delivery, inventory flow, and production constraints.
- Attend internal and external meetings for calendar, license reviews, and market needs.
Calendar Ownership
- Own the company-wide merchandising calendar for e-commerce and wholesale.
- Ensure alignment across departments on deadlines, design briefs, approvals, and launch milestones.
- Keep all teams informed on updates, risks, and adjustments.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance across categories.
- Provide insights to leadership on trends, product winners, and improvement opportunities.
- Build reporting dashboards for inventory health, style performance, and margin.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of e-commerce merchandising or planning experience in apparel or accessories.
- Experience in line planning, buying, forecasting, or assortment development.
- Strong understanding of licensed partnerships and trend-driven product.
- Ability to manage calendars, cross-functional workflows, and approvals.
- Deep analytical skills with Excel/Sheets; experience with Shopify, planning tools, or ERP/PLM systems is a plus. (A2000/Centric)
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and cultural relevance in product creation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
Salary Range
$USD annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Pay: $68,640.00 - $85,000.00 per year
