E-commerce & Paid Media Specialist (Part-Time, 5–10 hrs/week) — SpitJack

SpitJack is a 20-year e-commerce brand for live-fire & BBQ cooking gear—meat injectors, brisket knives, rotisserie, and fireplace tools—sold on Shopify (SpitJack.com), Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop. We’re a small, hands-on team that pairs craftsmanship with data-driven growth.
The Role
We’re hiring an experienced, coachable marketer to execute day-to-day digital marketing and learn SpitJack’s specific systems, SOPs, and workflows. You’ll bring real e-commerce experience—especially in Meta Ads, YouTube, and Google Ads—and be eager to adopt our playbooks (and improve them).
What You’ll Own
- Email & CRM (Brevo): Build/iterate flows (welcome, post-purchase, abandoned cart, win-back), segment lists, manage UTMs, QA sends, and report weekly KPIs.
- List Growth & Offers (Wheelio): Operate “spin-to-win” capture + follow-ups; route preferences to the right sequences.
- Marketplaces (Amazon/Walmart/TikTok Shop): Refresh listings (copy, keywords via Helium10, A+ assets, Q&A/reviews); run promos, coupons, and creator/affiliate codes; maintain listing health.
- Paid Social — Meta Ads (FB/IG):
- Build and optimize Sales/Conversions campaigns; implement Pixel + Conversions API, audiences (remarketing, LALs), and structured naming/UTMs.
- YouTube Ads (via Google Ads):
- Launch skippable in-stream, in-feed, and Shorts campaigns; set remarketing from GA4 audiences; test hooks/first 5 seconds and calls-to-action.
- Monitor CPV, view-through conversions, engaged-view conversions, and assist with creative briefs.
- Google Ads (Search/Shopping/PMax):
- Maintain branded & non-brand search hygiene, negatives, sitelinks; manage PMax/Shopping for catalog reach.
- Align bids/budgets with margin realities; report on ROAS, CTR, CVR, cost/conversion.
- Shopify & SEO: Update PDPs/collections, merchandising, bundles/upsells, and on-page SEO basics.
- Content Support: Write crisp, conversion-minded copy (emails, PDPs, ad variants); light graphics in Canva; brief UGC/influencers.
- Analytics & Reporting: GA4 + Looker Studio weekly dashboard across email, marketplaces, Meta/YouTube/Google Ads; propose and run small, well-designed experiments.
- AI-Assisted Workflows: Use ChatGPT and Gemini to draft/iterate copy, summarize reviews, ideate keywords, outline briefs/SOPs—always human-edited and fact-checked.
You Bring
- Hands-on e-commerce marketing experience at a brand or agency, entrepreneur, or freelancer.
- Practical execution in at least four of: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads (Search/Shopping/PMax), YouTube Ads, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, TikTok Shop, Brevo/Klaviyo or other EMS, Helium10 or similar, GA4/Looker Studio, Canva, Zapier/Make or other automation tools.
- Proven ability to structure tests, analyze results, and turn metrics into actions (ROAS, CAC, ACOS, CTR, CVR).
- Strong short-form copywriting; detail-oriented QA mindset (links, UTMs, coupon codes, dates).
- Tracking savvy: Pixel/CAPI basics, GA4 events/conversions, UTMs, and clean naming conventions.
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini) and good judgment on when/how to use them.
- Organized, proactive communicator who thrives in a small, fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have
- A+ Content design or light photo/video skills (Reels/Shorts, basic editing in CapCut/Premiere).
- Knowledge of Walmart Review Accelerator, Brand Registry workflows, TikTok affiliate programs.
- Interest in BBQ/live-fire cooking culture.
