E-Commerce Purchasing Assistant (Remote)

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive E-Commerce Purchasing Assistant to support our online procurement operations remotely. This role involves managing purchasing activities, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring seamless inventory and supply chain management to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400, along with a strong understanding of materials management, procurement, and logistics within an e-commerce environment. Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement process by sourcing products, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Utilize ERP systems including SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 to process purchase orders and track inventory levels.
• Coordinate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management, production planning, and logistics operations.
• Monitor pricing strategies and ensure competitive purchasing to maximize cost savings.
• Support materials management activities such as inventory control, procurement planning, and sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to align purchasing decisions with sales forecasts and marketing campaigns.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, contracts, and supplier communications within ERP platforms.
• Assist in developing sourcing strategies for new products or suppliers in the e-commerce space.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain efficiency and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400.
• Strong understanding of materials management, procurement processes, and supply chain management principles.
• Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, production planning, and merchandising within an e-commerce setting.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with pricing strategies, contracts management, and sourcing methodologies.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Prior experience in e-commerce purchasing or procurement is preferred but not mandatory. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.07 - $58.99 per hour
