Position Overview

PUTCO Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality automotive and truck accessories for over 50 years, is seeking a motivated Ecommerce Specialist to ensure PUTCO’s online operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position focuses on product data accuracy, inventory visibility, site optimization, and merchandising strategies across multiple platforms, including Amazon. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about driving online sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Feeds & Availability

  • Monitor inventory feeds to ensure all SKUs match correctly across platforms.
  • Confirm Putco stock levels are accurate and “salad bar” products display optimal estimated ship times.
  • Regularly review warehouse and distributor inventory to prevent overselling and maximize available-to-sell visibility.

2. Shipping & Order Tracking

  • Track shipments from Putco and distributors to ensure tracking data posts promptly to customer orders.
  • Verify purchase orders have accurate and timely tracking information.
  • Identify and resolve delays in shipping or tracking updates.

3. Product Management & Optimization

  • Add, update, and optimize products using SEO and e-commerce best practices.
  • Ensure products are properly categorized with strong images and accurate SKU-level details.
  • Maintain accurate third-party data mapping for ad catalog feeds and Amazon listings.
  • Monitor Amazon and advertising feeds for data consistency and errors.
  • Ensure all products include installation instructions, videos, and supporting documentation.

4. Website Structure & Content Optimization

  • Maintain site structure, including category hierarchy, sub-brand organization, and Year-Make-Model (YMM) content.
  • Collaborate with design and video teams to upload and assign new images and videos.
  • Create new categories or content sections to improve navigation and user experience.
  • Use Google Analytics and SEO tools to identify new content opportunities.
  • Develop buying guides, fitment pages, and resources to increase organic traffic.
  • Ensure category, product, and YMM pages are well-indexed across Google and emerging search platforms.

5. Data Consistency & Cleanup

  • Maintain consistent and accurate YMM, cab, bed, and variation data across all products.
  • Regularly audit and clean up data to eliminate duplication and mismatches.
  • Partner with engineering to consolidate years and variants by product type or category.

6. Web Development Collaboration

  • Work closely with the web development team to ensure plugins, scripts, and integrations remain updated.
  • Identify and propose new functionality to improve user experience, site speed, and conversion rates.
  • Coordinate A/B tests and user experience improvements.

7. Automated Email Systems

  • Oversee automated internal and customer email flows, including:
  • Order confirmations
  • Tracking updates
  • Saved cart reminders
  • Abandoned cart follow-ups
  • Ensure all automation systems function properly and align with brand standards.

8. Reporting & Insights

  • Produce category and product trend reports for management and production teams.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing to highlight products for promotion.
  • Provide actionable insights to guide advertising priorities, content creation, and site enhancements.

9. SEMA Data Management

  • Maintain accurate product fitment and attribute data in SEMA Data.
  • Ensure timely updates, quality audits, and coordination for new product releases.

10. Amazon Merchandising

  • Manage and optimize Amazon listings and ASINs for accuracy and visibility.
  • Update titles, bullet points, descriptions, images, keywords, and pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with Amazon policies and brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Merchandising, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in e-commerce, merchandising, or digital marketing (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of SEO, product data management, and e-commerce best practices (preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
