Job Description – E-Commerce Specialist

Title: E-Commerce Specialist

Job Summary:

The E-Commerce Specialists reports to the Web Manager in the implementation of the marketing strategy. The E-Commerce Specialist prepares the content for and monitors the success of online sales. Responsibilities include monitoring the day-to-day activity on the site and its overall performance to achieve goals like improving user experience, increasing website traffic and sales, and developing brand loyalty. The E-Commerce Specialist optimizes campaigns using marketing and SEO strategies and measures how much they increase web traffic by using analytics tools. Other duties include managing site development and updates for the e-commerce side of the business, working with other departments to collect necessary content to use for each product or service offering, and ensuring that the brand message and goals align with the rest of the ministry. The E-Commerce Specialist also assists in promoting Bogard Press products and services through social media, printed ads, digital ads, email marketing and the curation of customer lists.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day activity on the website, including development, updates and optimizing performance.
  • Develop and implement campaigns within the Marketing Strategy to increase sales on the web and other platforms.
  • Optimize advertising campaigns using SEO and other tools.
  • Help manage our marketing presence, including the management of social media platforms, curation of customer lists, digital communications and printed and mailed promotional material.
  • Assist with forming our ministry's overall digital marketing strategy.
  • Write contracts for 3rd party writers.
  • Data entry keying bills in accounting system.
  • Solving IT issues with assistance.
  • E-Commerce Specialist will perform other duties as required, reporting directly to the Web Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing (preferred).
  • Experience managing web pages and use of web analytics and optimization tools.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with desktop publishing software, web development software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must pay attention to detail
  • Must be a self motivated to work without assistance
  • Must have PC and/or Mac experience and not afraid of computers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
