To strengthen our corporate team in Muscat, we are seeking a skilled E-commerce Tax Specialist to oversee tax compliance and optimize financial processes for our e-commerce operations.

Role Overview

The E-commerce Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, and advisory functions across digital commerce platforms. This role requires strong knowledge of tax regulations, e-commerce operations, and the ability to provide strategic insights that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations for e-commerce transactions.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, VAT reports, and other statutory filings.
  • Conduct tax analysis and provide advisory support for digital commerce operations.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to streamline tax processes.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on e-commerce activities.
  • Support audits and liaise with external tax authorities and consultants.
  • Develop strategies to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to finance staff on tax compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, with at least 2 years focused on e-commerce or digital business.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT, corporate tax, and international tax frameworks.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and digital transaction flows.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Pay: Up to RO1,850.000 per month
