Job Title: E-Commerce Web Designer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented E-Commerce Web Designer to design, develop, and optimize engaging, user-friendly, and visually compelling online shopping experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, UX/UI best practices, responsive design, and branding principles. You’ll play a key role in elevating our digital storefront, improving conversion rates, and enhancing the overall user journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain visually appealing, user-centric e-commerce websites that align with brand identity.
- Create landing pages, product pages, promotional banners, and other digital assets for web and mobile.
- Optimize designs for usability, performance, and SEO across multiple devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and development teams to implement design strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and sales.
- Conduct A/B testing and use analytics to improve design effectiveness and conversion rates.
- Ensure consistency in design across all digital touchpoints.
- Stay up-to-date with e-commerce trends, technologies, and design standards.
- Manage web content updates and assist with CMS-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience designing for e-commerce websites (portfolio required).
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles; basic JavaScript a plus.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar.
- Understanding of UX/UI best practices, web accessibility, and mobile-first design.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) and A/B testing methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with email design and marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
- Knowledge of SEO and performance optimization techniques.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Contentful.
