This role provides, defines and monitors guidance and standardization over corporate end-to-end supply chain processes including but not limited to Demand Management, Supply Management, Inventory Management and S&OP processes, within B2B and B2C environments. The position is responsible for ensuring adherence as well as supporting implementation and sustainment of the given processes, in collaboration with regional teams, ESO organization, Arcera manufacturing sites and other groups and functions as relevant. He/she acts as single contact point for planning related activities to a designated region(s). Additionally, the position supports cross-functional projects related to portfolio changes and continuous process improvement. The job holder will be located in Egypt and will report to Head of E2E Planning, Global Supply Chain.


Your Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Drive proactive and inspirational communication with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and lead implementation of appropriate supply chain strategies to meet corporate objectives and vision including but not limited to:
  • Provide thought leadership in demand planning transformation initiatives
  • Manage finished goods inventory, including target levels for raw materials and WIP, stock monitoring, and devaluation risk mitigation
  • Define and implement appropriate KPIs to provide management with the right information for informed decision making
  • Define supply chain policies and processes for S&OP implementation and ensure standardization and correct implementation across functional units
  • Drive appropriate stakeholder management and teamwork
  • Ensure alignment within supply chain functions on vision, strategy, and objectives
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Regional Supply Chain, Sites, Customer Service, Procurement, Corporate Senior Management and other teams and functions as relevant to drive the right behaviors and ensure process adherence.

Operational Excellence:

  • Drive best practice sharing and proper usage of ERP systems
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement
  • Standardize and drive implementation of global planning processes, keeping updated documentation, to ensure consistency and efficiency including but not limited to:
  • Demand management activities (demand planning, forecast analysis and validation, related tools)
  • Supply management activities
  • Inventory management activities (inventory optimization techniques to ensure efficient use of end-to-end resources, whilst minimizing working capital)
  • S&OP process related activities
  • Support monitoring and reporting of defined KPIs ensuring global consistency, identifying trends and providing management with the right insights for informed decision making and action
  • Generate and publish reports on relevant topics (e.g. inventory, forecasts, S&OP related processes), providing insights and addressing problematic areas

Crisis and risk leadership:

  • Identify and mitigate potential demand risks through proactive scenario planning
  • Proactively identify inventory over/under stock, minimizing risks and driving action to address root causes
  • Identify supply issues and gaps, coordinating with key stakeholders and minimizing impacts on the business

Governance and compliance:

  • Consistent adherence to regulatory standards, company policies, and industry best practices. Maintain a high level of awareness regarding legal and compliance obligations, especially in a regulated environment, proactively highlighting and addressing inconsistencies and issues
  • Committed to promoting a culture of business integrity within global and cross-functional teams
  • Act as a role model for ethical behavior, fostering a culture of trust, responsibility, and professionalism. Encourage accountability and transparency across teams.


Your qualifications & experience

  • Education: degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or similar
  • Experience: from 7to 10 years of experience in similar role or other relevant supply chain position, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Languages: fluent in English, and other languages is a plus.
